NEXT PARAMEDIC REFRESHER COURSES—AUG. 7-12, RALEIGH, NC
Course Schedule and Rates
The curriculum guidelines will be the objectives of the 2016 Paramedic National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) for all future courses. The program will consist of a Monday - Wednesday lecture and hands-on component, followed by a Skills Day on Thursday to complete the required NCCP skills components. PLEASE NOTE that these skill requirements are different than those that must be verified by your Medical Director to recertify. We do not verify skills competency for those areas. Additional information on learning objectives, lesson content, and skills requirements can be found in the 2016 NCCP – Paramedic Education Update. Fri/Sat will be OPTIONAL days for participants to complete ACLS and PALS if desired.
A NEW component we have added is a module comprising 12 hours of online coursework. These hours are built around the NCCP requirements and will fill in the remaining areas needed for 60 total hours. Completion of the entire classroom and online programs will achieve all 60 hours required for NRP recertification.
Completion of the 44-hour (M-Th and Online) module will meet all hours of the National Competency category and Individual Competency category. Participants who choose to participate in the ACLS and PALS courses can apply those hours toward the Local Competency category (depending on the educational requirements of your employer). Most states/employers recognize national standard AHA courses for CE credit, however, if you have questions you should check with your respective state or employer.
Participants will be required to complete any online components by 5:00pm on Thursday AUGUST 08, 2017 so that course paperwork may be prepared.
Southeastern Emergency Equipment Education and Clinical Services staff will assist participants in advising how hours attended could apply towards the 60-hour Paramedic NCCP requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: The only way to receive the entire 60 hours in the required topic areas is to complete all modules of this course. We will not list or verify outside CE on your paperwork. All classroom and online work is CAPCE approved.
The “old” 48 hour refresher course is NO LONGER VALID as a way to recertify your National EMS credential.
